Opening Reception of EXTREMEs and Intangible

The Nova Scotia Printmakers had two major exhibition openings on May 27th, 2-5pm at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts. EXTREMEs is an open call for submissions exhibition of prints by NS Printmakers membership, while Intangible is an exhibition curated by Julie Rosvall and Maria Doering of works by nine women working with printmaking that are interconnected by an intangible thread related to pattern and texture. Both exhibition had a good attendance during the opening reception. The exhibitions are up until June 24th, so don’t miss out there is still time for a weekend adventure to Inverness!

A huge thank you to Julie Rosvall (caught by Steve Rankin in from of her knit print Shawl #1) for organizing these two exhibitions from initial call for submissions down to the poster designs. It would have never happened without you!

A huge thank you to Kristina Vermeulen (above left, with her aunt) for helping Julie with the installation of these two large exhibitions. Thank you to Kate Georgallas and Sara AvMaat for stopping by and lending a hand. Of course a kind thank you to the Inverness County Centre for the Arts and Elizabeth Whalley for making it possible.
